How do we safely and accurately explore dangerous and/or inaccessible environments without putting lives at risk? Think, areas hit by natural disasters, like earthquakes, to challenging work sites including underground mines, civil construction works or telecommunications infrastructure.
Brisbane-based company – and CSIRO spin-out – Emesent has developed the world’s first ‘plug-and-play payload’, Hovermap, enabling industrial drones to navigate, map and collect valuable data in challenging, GPS-denied environments.
Their super smart, mobile LiDAR mapping solution, which won a 2019 Good Design Australia Award (Commercial and Industrial Product category), can also be attached to vehicles and even backpacks for walking scans.
A case of AI in action. Anywhere. Anytime (day or night).
