Apply now express your interest in joining the Queensland AI Hub Advisory Committee!

Launched in May 2020 with a $5 million investment from the Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland initiative, the Queensland Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hub brings regions, innovation hubs, universities, industry, and government talent together to maximise people development, skills utilisation, investment and our competitive edge on a global scale.

The Hub supports government, industry and research in embracing AI and connect local AI talent, technologies and businesses with public and private sector opportunities. We deliver bespoke education and training programs to develop a future-ready workforce, while advocating for AI, advising on government policy and benchmarking global best practices.

Queensland AI Hub Advisory Committee:

The QAIH Advisory Committee has been established to provide strategic support for existing and planned programs, activities, and events led by Queensland AI Hub.

It is understood that this Advisory Committee will not replace daily operational functions, community and facility management tasks of Queensland AI Hub, or other forms of community engagement undertaken by Queensland AI Hub management.

The Queensland AI Hub is seeking expressions of interest from people across Queensland from all industry sectors. People from regional Queensland are strongly encouraged to apply.

QAIHAC members will have a broad current knowledge of their industry or industries, and also be in or have recently worked in a senior role, with relevant views across operational and strategic realms.

They will be aware of the challenges their industry faces, both current and emerging, and be able to recognise opportunities for AI to improve business and industry.

This will require a reasonable understanding of AI capabilities and products. Members will be well connected within their industry, with the ability to connect with many people and segments, with a view to expanding the AI knowledge and awareness of the Hub across their networks and industry. They will seek to expand Hub membership and influence.

It is understood that this Advisory Committee is primarily a supportive role, to assist in amplifying the reach and connections of Queensland AI Hub, contributing to the success of programs, events and initiatives.

The Advisory Committee comprises of between 8 and 10 members. Membership term is 12 months.
